SUMMER FRESH WATER MOUNTAIN STREAM AND/OR MOUNTAIN LAKE FLY FISHING
Dates: July 1st – August 31st.
BCREC offers quality guided day or multi day fly fishing trips on several scenic rivers and streams in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia. There are two different methods of fishing the fast moving mountain waters; walk and wade trips or float trips. Float trips are most productive on the larger rivers. Rafts are equipped with a fishing frame which allows the fisherman to sit nice and high above the water, rod holders, lifejackets and 1 st aid kit, lunch and beverages, and of course a skilled river guide that can supply you with rod and reel, flies and knowledge. Walk and wade trips are not as popular but on the smaller rivers and streams is the only way to get to the honey holes. We will be fishing mainly for Westslope Cutthroat trout and there is always opportunity for any of the other three trout species that may live in the waters. As well we offer trips high into the Rocky Mountains where the only way to access these pristine lakes is via horseback or foot. These lakes are full of fish, but sizes are much smaller due to high elevations. You can fish from shore or we can supply you with a float tube, waders, and flippers. Each day is approx 8 hours, transportation, food and beverages included.
